About This Project

GTemu is a small playable prototype created as part of my journey learning Unity and C# game development.

I had in mind a simple prototype in one week and it wasn't enough.

One more week in and now i need to learn other aspects to push GTemu later.

The goal of the project was to design and implement the core systems of a classic top-down open-world action game, including vehicle handling, police pursuit mechanics, gang reputation, mission systems, and pedestrian AI.

After reaching the objectives I set for this prototype, development is currently paused while I focus on new projects to explore other areas of game development and improve my skills.

GTemu remains available as a snapshot of that learning process and a foundation that may be revisited in the future.

During the development of GTemu, I explored:

  • Unity 2D physics
  • AI state machines
  • Mission and objective systems
  • UI and HUD design
  • Event-driven gameplay systems
  • Data-driven game architecture using C#
  • Open-world game prototyping
